Most patients experience the most pain in the arch of the foot, the bottom of the heel, or the back of the heel. This pain isn't something that you have to live with! The more heel pain is neglected, the worse it will get.

Diabetic Care Diabetics have to be especially careful with their feet. Noting differences in your feet can be much more difficult because of conditions like neuropathy (losing feeling in your feet.)  Even the smallest cuts can become very serious to a Diabetic's feet because of lack of circulation which causes delayed healing and leads to high risk of infection. Visit our Diabetic Care page for tips on how to take care of diabetic feet or call our office to set up an appointment.

Custom Foot Orthotics Orthotics are beneficial to many people because they provide support that's customized for your feet. Patients with foot pain, imbalances, or who stand all day can benefit from the balance that orthotics provide. Athletic individuals experience increased endurance and performance by wearing orthotics. If you have Diabetes or are overweight, orthotics are great for your feet because they counteract the extra stress that's put on your feet and help to prevent future problems like blisters and ulcers.

Orthotics are made from a personalized cast of your foot. If you see a sign for custom orthotics in a grocery store or pharmacy, beware--if they don't make a mold of your foot, then they are NOT custom orthotics. Computerized platforms are deceitful, they may take an imprint of your foot, but they are not able to create a custom insert based on the three dimensional traits of your feet. If you'd like to know more about orthotics, visit our Orthotics page or call our office to schedule an appointment.

Ingrown Toenails You might do things everyday without knowing that you're causing your ingrown toenails. Ingrown toenails occur when the nail on your toe starts to grow sharply into the tender skin on either side of the nail. The skin may get red, hot, or puffy indicating an infection and causing pain.

In some cases, ingrown toenails may require minor surgery. For more information about ingrown toenails, visit the Ingrown Toenails page. If you're concerned that your toenail may be infected or may require surgery, call our office to schedule an appointment.
