Running Out of Time For A Resolution

Did you remember to make a resolution for this year? What with Christmas shopping, baking, and parties, a lot of times New Year's can sneak up and leave you scrambling to come up with a resolution.  Just because New Year's eve has come and gone doesn't mean you can't come up with a last-minute resolution. Maybe this will be the year you actually come up with that life changing resolution. Maybe you'll look back and remember 2012 as the year that you changed your life for the better.

Well if you can't think of your own resolution, we can think of a couple ideas for you that will make us happy too:

1. Think of your feet this year. There are so many things patients can do to ensure the health of their feet. By trimming toenails correctly, choosing the right shoes, and examining feet regularly, you can prevent some of the most common foot problems.

2. Start running. Don't make it too much if you haven't  ran in a while. Make attainable goals for yourself, like running 3 miles a week or walking twice around the block. If you can do more, that's great. Just make sure the goals are appropriate for you. And make sure you're wearing good shoes for running/walking.

3. Rest as needed. Give your feet a break if they need it. Your feet endure more pressure than any other part of your body. By resting them often, you can assure that they'll last longer.

If you have any questions relating to your feet or ankles, please don't hesitate to call the Markham Foot Care Clinic in Markham, Ontario where Chiropodist, Brian Cragg is happy to help patients eliminate foot pain.
